Megan had this to say about her experience with the Mustang Band:

I learned a lot while I was in band-- Like how good a Little Debby tastes after a competition or how hard it is to change your pants on the bus while no one is looking-- But the most valuable lesson I was taught was how to work hard toward your goals. I can remember many days of frustration as the words 'one more time' flowed from Mr.Hunt's mouth. We would groan, pick up our instruments and move back to where we started. It was that phrase that eventually led us to succeed with a show more entertaining than the year before. It was only because we weren't allowed to give up- we had to try again. Today, that same mentality reminds me to never give up on my dreams when I fail or things become difficult, instead I give it one more try because that one time could be the difference between failure and success.
